About Us
My name is Jeremy Ann Anderson. My husband and I moved to Truckee in 2000, after falling in love with these mountains. We are raising our two daughters here, and spend as much time as possible enjoying what these mountains have to offer - skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, SUPing, hiking, backpacking, and exploring.
We have been in the service industry for 25+ years. I spent many years tending bar at Northstar. My husband is the Executive Chef at Squaw/Alpine and has executed hundreds of destination weddings and corporate events of upwards of 400 people. We owned and managed a fine dining restaurant in Colorado for years. We also spent many years outfitting river expeditions with high quality wilderness food. Food and beverage is our area of expertise.
I took over Tahoe Fresh after recognizing the need to shift gears with the changing times. Tahoe Fresh was founded by Rachel Elste. She and I both know well how to connect visitors with high quality products and services in the Truckee-Tahoe area. She and her family are thrilled to be serving the Truckee Tahoe community in a new and exciting way, first with their bike shop - Bike Truckee - and now with a winter sports shop, so they can spend more time sharing their love of the outdoors and all the sports this area has to offer. And now, with this shifting of gears, I get the pleasure of sharing all that Tahoe Fresh has to offer with you!
From 1997 to 2011, I worked as a river guide, trip leader, and head boatperson for Whitewater Voyages and Canyon River Instruction on rivers throughout the west. In addition to rowing boats and leading hikes, I was responsible for planning, organizing, and packing a menu for up to 30 people on multi-day wilderness expeditions through the beautiful canyons of California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. This was a wonderful experience that taught me about hard work, organization, logistic coordination, and customer service. Rivers continue to run deep in my veins. We take our family on at least one multi-day river trip every summer. I also volunteer for Friends of the River, annually teaching their guide schools, and am on the Board of Directors for the United States Rafting Association as the Youth Teams Director, to help bring the youth together in the outdoors and inspire them to push their limits in the spirit of adventure and camaraderie.
